No splatter bacon

No splatter bacon

Do you love bacon, but HATE the mess it makes?

How about when the bacon grease pops and you are hit with the flying hot grease.  OUCH!  No fun there at all.

Today, I am going to share the no splatter way of making bacon.

No I am not teasing you.  This is the real deal.

Ingredients

Bacon

Stuff that you need

1 x oven
1 x cookie sheet
1 x piece of parchment paper
2 or 3 pieces of paper towel

Directions

Put the piece of parchment paper on the cookie sheet and then arrange your bacon on the parchment paper.  You can fit an entire package of bacon on your cookie sheet.  It doesn't matter if the bacon over laps a bit.

Put the cookie sheet into the oven.

NOW turn the oven on to 400 F.  That's right, no pre-heating.  I said it was easy.  Then turn the timer on to 20 minutes of you like your bacon slightly chewy or 23 minutes if you like it crispy.  25 minutes if it is thick bacon.  Is it under done?  Put it back in the oven for a few more minutes.  But it will cook fast at 400 F, so don't walk away from your oven at this point.

Take the bacon out of the oven.  Put the bacon on a paper towel lined plate and you are done!
