DeleteI'm making this for New Years eve celebration tonight, using Sweet Baby Ray's no sugar added BBQ sauce, and Memphis style BBQ seasoning...the bacon is smoked, and the Smokies are smoked, so what's not to like!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, sounds marvelous!
DeleteCan’t beat Sweet Baby Ray’s. Thanks for the idea. I believe I’ll do a half tray of the original recipe and half with SBR for the Superbowl. These will go great with my jalapeƱo cheeseball. šššššššš

DeleteI never used butter. Just generously roll the bacon wrapped smokies in brown sugar.
ReplyDeleteThat's grand. Too much fat is bad for the heart anyways.
DeleteThanks for taking the time to comment.
These are awesome! We are making a bunch for a Super Bowl Party! Used HEB's Raspberry Chipotle sauce instead of the butter and brown sugar(last 10 minutes only). You might add the tooth pick thing to the recipe as we didn't use on the first batch and had to reconstruct after they came out. Delicious!!
ReplyDeleteYes, bacon does have a mind of it's own.
