This time, it was mum that seen the recipe and forwarded on to myself. Time to insert this into my cooking blog.
Ingredients
9" Pie shell
4 cups fresh strawberries, quartered and hulled
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 3oz box of strawberry Jell-O
3 tablespoons of cornstarch
Stuff you will need
Sauce pan
Whisk
Cutting board
Sharp knife
Pie pan
Directions
Bake the pie crust in a 9" deep dish pie pan. You can get the pie crust premade from the store, or make you own favorite pie crust.
Put the water, sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan, and bring to a gentle boil. Whisk constantly until it becomes thick. Should take about 3 minutes.
Add the Strawberry Jell-O and cook for another minute.
Remove from heat and let cool for about 15 minutes.
Add the strawberries to the pie shell.
Pour the glaze over the strawberries.
Refrigerate until the glaze is set.
Add a dollop of whip cream when serving.
