Ever had to host a party and didn't know what to make? Ever been told, you need to bring something to that party because it's pot luck? Here is something that surely no one else is going to make.
Ingredients
1 pound Bacon, Cut Into Thirds 1 pound Lil’ Smokies (small sausages) 1/2 cup Butter 2 cups Brown Sugar
Stuff you will need
Cutting board Sharp knife Oven proof baking dish
Directions
Preheat oven to 375F. Cut the bacon into thirds and wrap each smokie.(small sausage) Place all the wrapped smokies in a single layer in a baking dish. Then melt the stick of butter and then 1 cup of brown sugar and stir until mixed well. Pour the butter and brown sugar mixture on the smokies and bacon. Then take the other cup of brown sugar and sprinkle evenly over the smokies. Bake them for about 15-20 minutes and then turn the heat up to 400F for about 5 minutes or longer until the bacon becomes crispy. Comments and suggestions are ALWAYS welcome.
Cheesie Baconie Ranch Dressing over Cubed Potatoes
OK, so this really isn't a recipe. It's more of, if you got this stuff, you can put this together. If you got a heart condition, you may wish to step away right now.
Ingredients
1 package frozen cubed potatoes 1 bottle of Ranch Dressing 1 pound of cooked bacon, crumbled 1 package of shredded cheese
Stuff you will need
Parchment Paper Cookie sheet Hungry people that are not afraid of cholesterol
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 F Line the cookie sheet with parchment paper. This stuff is great. I really endorse this product. It makes clean up SO much easier. Put the first layer of cubed potatoes. Cook them as per the instructions on the package. Did it say to cook them at a higher temperature? Then I rescind my previous instructions to cook them at 350 F. Once the potatoes are cooked, add the second layer, the crumbled bacon. Drizzle the ranch dressing across the potatoes and bacon. Top it with the shredded cheese. Back into the oven so that the cheese will melt. Don't let the cheese burn. Take it out and let it cool for a few minutes. Put it on a plate and watch the heart attack on a plate be devoured. As always, comments and suggestions are ALWAYS welcome.
How about when the bacon grease pops and you are hit with the flying hot grease. OUCH! No fun there at all.
Today, I am going to share the no splatter way of making bacon.
No I am not teasing you. This is the real deal.
Ingredients
Bacon
Stuff that you need
1 x oven
1 x cookie sheet
1 x piece of parchment paper
2 or 3 pieces of paper towel
Directions
Put the piece of parchment paper on the cookie sheet and then arrange your bacon on the parchment paper. You can fit an entire package of bacon on your cookie sheet. It doesn't matter if the bacon over laps a bit.
Put the cookie sheet into the oven.
NOW turn the oven on to 400 F. That's right, no pre-heating. I said it was easy. Then turn the timer on to 20 minutes of you like your bacon slightly chewy or 23 minutes if you like it crispy. 25 minutes if it is thick bacon. Is it under done? Put it back in the oven for a few more minutes. But it will cook fast at 400 F, so don't walk away from your oven at this point.
Take the bacon out of the oven. Put the bacon on a paper towel lined plate and you are done!
