Tonya’s Fix - FORGE Spaghetti Sauce

πŸ”₯🍝 Tonya’s Fix: Spicy Spaghetti Sauce (FORGE) — Upgraded

“It’s cold out…
so we’re building flavor the right way. 😏πŸ”₯

πŸ§‚ You’ll Need:

The base:
1 lb ground beef or sausage
1 can crushed tomatoes (or jarred sauce)
1–2 tbsp FORGE BBQ Seasoning
Olive oil

The upgrade (this is the move):
1 small onion (finely diced)
1–2 ribs celery (finely diced)
1 small carrot (optional but recommended)
1/2 bell pepper (diced)
πŸ‘‰ That’s your soffritto base

Extras:
2–3 cloves garlic
Splash of red wine (optional… but you’ve got the glass already 😏)

πŸ”₯ What To Do:

1. Build the soffritto (don’t rush this)
πŸ‘‰ Oil in pan, medium heat
πŸ‘‰ Add onion + celery + carrot + pepper
πŸ‘‰ Cook 8–10 minutes until soft and slightly golden
πŸ‘‰ This is your flavor foundation

2. Add garlic last
πŸ‘‰ 30 seconds, just until fragrant
πŸ‘‰ Don’t burn it

3. Brown the meat
πŸ‘‰ Add beef/sausage right into the soffritto
πŸ‘‰ Break it up, get some colour
πŸ‘‰ Now you’ve got depth + richness

4. Bring the heat (FORGE time)
πŸ‘‰ Add FORGE seasoning
πŸ‘‰ Let it toast in the pan for a minute
πŸ‘‰ This step makes the spice bloom

5. Deglaze (optional but πŸ”₯)
πŸ‘‰ Splash of red wine
πŸ‘‰ Scrape up all the good bits

6. Sauce & simmer
πŸ‘‰ Add tomatoes
πŸ‘‰ Stir, reduce heat
πŸ‘‰ Simmer 30–45 minutes
(Longer = deeper flavor)

😏 Tonya Tip:
If you’re thinking about adding sugar…
you didn’t cook the soffritto long enough.

🍝 Serve It Like You Mean It
Over pasta
Fresh parm
Crusty bread (you’ve got the baguette πŸ˜‰)

πŸ’¬ “Same sauce…  big difference.” πŸ”₯🍝

πŸ‘‰ Tag the one who still adds sugar to sauce
πŸ‘‰ We’re upgrading kitchens today

Trust me… it needs this.
