Crispy Popcorn Bites
1. Popcorn Pork Bites
Ingredients
1 lb pork loin, cut into cubes
1 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp cayenne pepper
Oil for frying
Instructions
Place pork cubes in buttermilk and let soak 15–30 minutes.
In a bowl mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne.
Remove pork from buttermilk and coat in the flour mixture.
Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
Fry pork bites for 4–5 minutes until golden and crispy.
Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
2. Popcorn Steak Bites
Ingredients
1 lb ribeye steak, cut into cubes
1 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp steak seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Oil for frying
Instructions
Soak steak cubes in buttermilk for 20 minutes.
Combine flour, cornstarch, paprika, steak seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Coat steak pieces in the flour mixture.
Fry in hot oil at 350°F for 3–4 minutes until crispy.
Drain and serve immediately.
3. Popcorn Shrimp
Ingredients
1 lb small shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
Oil for frying
Instructions
Season shrimp with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
Coat shrimp in flour.
Dip into beaten eggs.
Roll in panko breadcrumbs.
Fry at 350°F for 2–3 minutes until golden.
Drain and serve with dipping sauce.
4. Popcorn Chicken
Ingredients
1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
1 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp seasoned salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Oil for frying
Instructions
Marinate chicken in buttermilk for 30 minutes.
Mix flour, cornstarch, and all seasonings in a bowl.
Coat chicken pieces with the flour mixture.
Fry in oil at 350°F for 4–5 minutes until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
