Meatball Sub Sandwiches


🥖 Classic Meatball Sub 🥖

Ingredients: 

• 4 hoagie rolls 
• 1 lb frozen meatballs, fully cooked 
• 2 cups marinara sauce 
• 8 slices provolone cheese 
• 1 tbsp dried parsley 
• 2 tbsp butter, softened

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F.

Combine the meatballs and marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat; simmer for 10 minutes until heated through.

Spread butter on the inside of the hoagie rolls and place them on a baking sheet.

Spoon the meatballs and sauce into the rolls.

Top each sub with 2 slices of provolone cheese.

Bake for 5 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Garnish with dried parsley before serving.

🍕 Pizza Meatball Sub 🍕

Ingredients: 

• 4 hoagie rolls 
• 1 lb frozen meatballs, fully cooked 
• 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce 
• 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese 
• 16 slices pepperoni 
• 1 tsp dried oregano 
• 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Simmer the meatballs in the pizza sauce in a pot over medium heat for 10 minutes.

Place the hoagie rolls on a baking sheet and fill them with the sauced meatballs.

Sprinkle garlic powder over the meatballs.

Top generously with shredded mozzarella cheese, followed by pepperoni slices and oregano.

Bake for 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and the pepperoni crisps up slightly.

🤠 BBQ Meatball Sub 🤠

Ingredients: 

• 4 hoagie rolls 
• 1 lb meatballs, fully cooked 
• 1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce 
• 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese 
• 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced 
• 1 tbsp cilantro, chopped

Instructions:

Preheat the oven broiler to high.

In a saucepan, toss the meatballs with the barbecue sauce and heat over medium for 8-10 minutes.

Toast the hoagie rolls lightly in the oven or a toaster.

Fill the rolls with the BBQ meatballs.

Top with shredded cheddar cheese.

Broil for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Sprinkle with diced red onion and cilantro immediately before serving.

🔥 Buffalo Meatball Sub 🔥

Ingredients: 

• 4 hoagie rolls 
• 1 lb meatballs, fully cooked 
• 1 cup buffalo wing sauce 
• 8 slices pepper jack cheese 
• 1/4 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing 
• 1 celery stalk, finely diced

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F.

Heat the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, pour in the buffalo sauce and toss to coat completely.

Place the hoagie rolls on a baking sheet and line the inside of each with 2 slices of pepper jack cheese.

Place the hot buffalo meatballs on top of the cheese.

Bake for 5 minutes to toast the bun and melt the cheese further.

Remove from the oven, drizzle with dressing, and top with diced celery.

🍃 Pesto Mozzarella Meatball Sub 🍃

Ingredients: 

• 4 crusty Italian rolls 
• 1 lb meatballs, fully cooked 
• 1/2 cup basil pesto 
• 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced 
• 1/2 cup marinara sauce 
• 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Heat the meatballs in the marinara sauce in a small pot until hot.

Slice the rolls open and spread 2 tbsp of pesto onto the inside of each roll.

Place the meatballs into the rolls.

Top with slices of fresh mozzarella cheese.

Bake for 5-8 minutes until the cheese is fully melted.

Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese before serving.

🧄 Garlic Parmesan Meatball Sub 🧄

Ingredients: 

• 4 hoagie rolls 
• 1 lb meatballs, fully cooked 
• 1 cup marinara sauce 
• 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted 
• 1 tbsp garlic powder 
• 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese 
• 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F.

Mix the melted butter with the garlic powder and Italian seasoning in a small bowl.

Brush the garlic butter mixture generously inside and over the top of the hoagie rolls.

Toast the rolls in the oven for 3 minutes.

Meanwhile, heat the meatballs in the marinara sauce on the stove.

Fill the toasted garlic rolls with the meatballs and sauce.

Top heavily with shredded parmesan cheese.

Bake for another 4-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and slightly browned.
