I do like French Toast. Pretty sure you like French Toast as well.
Ok, so now that we go that established, let's make some Oven Baked French Toast.
Ingredients
1 loaf of 18 slices of bread with the crusts cut off
6 eggs
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
Cinnamon for dusting
Stuff you will need
Cutting board
Sharp knife
Wisk
Mixing bowls
11 x 13 baking dish
Spatula
Saran Wrap
Tin foil
Directions
Add the brown sugar to the melted butter. Mix together.
Pour into the 11 x 13 baking dish. Spread this over the bottom of the pan.
Cut the crusts off your bread. Add the bread to the pan so you have your first layer.
In a mixing bowl, add the eggs, milk and whipping cream. Whisk together and pour 1/2 your egg mixture over the bread. Dust that layer with cinnamon.
Next layer, bread with the crusts cut off. Other 1/2 of the egg mixture. Using a fork or soon, push any dry parts of bread so that it is covered by the egg mixture. Dust with cinnamon.
Cover this with Saran Wrap and put into the fridge overnight.
Oven to 350 F.
Remove the Saran Wrap and cover with tin foil.
Bake for 30 minutes covered.
Remove the tin foil and bake, uncovered for another 15 minutes.
Cut and serve while still warm.
PRO TIP:
Dust with icing sugar and drizzle syrup over the French Toast.
Add cut strawberries with whipped cream.
