Hamburger Helper was on the rotation more than once a week growing up.
Now, Mum was very fussy, and we would never see her eat most of the stuff she made for us. She didn't was her sons growing up fussy.
Ingredients
Day ahead:
2 1/2 cups elbow macaroni ๐ช
1/4 cup dried onion ๐ฐ flakes
1/4 cup powdered ๐ฅ milk
1/4 cup parmasean cheese ๐ง
1 Tbsp chicken ๐ bullion
1 Tbsp tomato ๐
bullion (optional)
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp parsley
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp thyme
Day of:
1 1/2 pounds hamburger, browned and drained
1 cup tomato sauce
2 cups water
Stuff you will need
1 ltr Mason jar with lid
Directions
Day prior, put everything into the mason jar. Put the lid on and shake to mix everything together.
Store in the fridge for no more than 24 hours.
Next day, fry and brown your hamburger is a large skillet with a lid.
Drain the hamburger.
Add the liquids followed by the macaroni mix.
Make sure there is enough liquid to cover the macaroni.
Heat to medium and bring to a boil. Cover and lower the heat. Simmer for 25 minutes.
Cover the lasagna with as much or as little cheese as you like. Mozzarella, cheddar, what ever you like on your lasagna.
Turn the heat off, cover with the lid and wait for the cheese to melt.
