Skillet Sticky Sweet Honey Garlic Sausage Pasta
Ingredients:
1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
12 oz penne pasta
2 cups chicken broth
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1 cup frozen peas
1/4 cup chopped green onions
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
Stir in minced garlic and red pepper flakes; cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
Add chicken broth, honey, soy sauce, and uncooked pasta to the skillet. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until pasta is cooked and the sauce thickens (about 12-15 minutes).
Stir in frozen peas and chopped green onions. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through and well combined.
Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
